Mother Nature’s Glory Rests on Las Vegas Real Estate

Explore Las Vegas real estate beyond the glitz, glamour and twinkling lights. At the Spring Preserve miles of trails meander through acres of Mother Nature’s desert glory. Various attractions provide educational and entertainment experiences.

Evidence of early residents living in Las Vegas  is visible all around. Pieces of a caretaker’s cottage, chicken coop and other items highlight historic railroad beginnings. Archaeological dig sites sit on the landscape where scientists have dated multiple adobe structures dating to the 1800’s. Dugout homes are semi-subterranean dwellings used from the late 1800’s to early 1900’s. A particular dugout is thought to be the home of John Howell, the first African American Las Vegas Valley land owner. Ancestral Pueblan Pithouses are the earliest structures at the Preserve and are filled with archaeological finds such as pottery and tools. Those wanting to learn more about local history can hop aboard for a train ride. This 20 minute trek around Exploration Loop imparts significant information about the locale.

Trails take hikers, walkers and bicyclers through desert terrain where a variety of flora and fauna mix with wildlife creatures. The Butterfly Habitat is a seasonal haven for delicate insects loved by many. Periods during spring and fall the butterfly sanctuary is filled with the lightly winged colorful critters. Nearby in the Desert Tortoise Habitat visitors can meet up with Mojave Max. An ambassador for his endangered species, Max represents a small group of tortoises thriving in a state of the art enclosure by visiting school age children.

Conservation Is Key for Families Living in Las Vegas Homes

Las Vegas real estate goes green at the Desert Living Center. As part of the impressive Spring Preserve five buildings make up the center providing a place for gathering, interactive activities, exhibits, special events and more. Youngsters learn the art of conservation through fun in the Compost Crawl and Garbage Truck theater.

The Spring Preserve is definitely a hidden gem treasured by families from Las Vegas homes. With so much to see and do time management is a must. Broken down into segments the How to Spend Your Day at the Springs Preserve guide is very helpful. Get out and discover the great outdoors!

Golfers Go to the Greens on Summerlin Property

Great games are always in the works on Summerlin property. Angel Park impresses one and all with golf courses galore. Here the landscape is brilliantly scenic and wonderfully competitive. Afternoons are whittled away on two Arnold Palmer designed championship courses. Short courses and putting courses offers other alternative spots to play.

Created in 1989 the Palm Course has witnessed some unbelievable shots and impressive moments. Trials worked into the course include bothersome sand bunkers and wily putting surfaces. Certain Par 3’s require intense concentration. Views of both the Las Vegas Strip and Red Rock Mountains illustrate contrasting moments of excitement and solitude that being in Las Vegas brings. The Mountain Course runs a bit longer but prevents similar challenges. With the Red Rock Mountains serving as a backdrop athletes easily drift away from the stress of the day. Focus is a definite requirement for making key shots and avoiding sand bunkers and water features.

Golfers Living in Summerlin Find Challenging Play

Summerlin property golfers are well satisfied with the Cloud Nine Short Course. This field of play takes inspiration from prominent golf courses around the world including the “Valley of Sin”, “Postage Stamp” and “Island Green”. First class lighting provides a unique opportunity to play underneath starry skies. Critically acclaimed the Cloud Nine Short Course consistently reigns as top of the list for athletes living in Summerlin or visiting Vegas to visit.

The Divine 9 Putting Course is also lighted for evening attendance. Efforts rise with cooler temperatures making nighttime the perfect time for quality games. Flawless greens mix with tricky water features and other natural challenges. Friends spend time ribbing each other and letting loose as they putt away.

Those wanting to improve upon their skills take advantage of the top notch practice facility waiting for them. Instruction features a variety of adult lessons, schools and camps at the Academy by Tom Carlson. An impressive junior program is well recommended for youngsters looking to learn the sport. Online lessons are user friendly accessing professional assistance without travel constraints.

Should I Have An Agent to Buy a New Construction Home?

This is probably one of the most common questions asked (and one of the biggest misconceptions in home buying) when clients are looking to buy from a new home builder like Toll Brothers, Lennar, KB Homes, Pardee, Richmond American, DR Horton or any of the other numerous builders.

The answer is ABSOLUTELY YES.

While builder's may like you to believe you don't need a real estate agent to buy a new home or that you'll get a better deal without an agent since they can pass on the savings on paying a commission to the consumer, it simply is not true.

The truth is you'll typically get a much better deal when you have an agent outside of the builder representing you since they tend to know the specifics such as incentives and promotions which may not be common knowledge to the general public. If you think about it, the less they have to give you the better for them.

Also, the builder's actually prefer to work with agents as that gives them a chance to show how awesome their homes are so the agents brings them more buyers.

So if you have a real estate agent working to find you an existing home and you're considering a new construction as well, be sure to inform them so they can also recommend those as well.

Tesla Moving to Nevada

Now that Gov. Brian Sandoval has signed into law a package of incentives for Tesla Motors worth up to $1.3 billion, the electric-car maker is moving ahead with plans to build a $5 billion lithium battery factory expected to open in 2017 and employ 6,500 workers to make cheaper batteries so it can afford to mass market a new line of more affordable vehicles.

The gigafactory, which will focus exclusively on manufacturing lithium batteries, will be located just outside of Sparks in northern Nevada. It will be as large as 174 football fields laid end to end, which will make it the largest lithium battery factory in the world!

The factory, which is scheduled to hit full production in 2018, will employ 6,500 Nevadans and pay a minimum of $23/hour.

Because the state of Nevada has given Tesla a very generous incentive package, the company has promised to invest a minimum of $3.5 billion in Nevada in the next 10 years.

We'll keep you updated with more info as the company moves forward with their plans. Stay tuned!
